Beverly Mahone's career in both radio and television lasted more 25 years. Her first job out of college was at a radio station in Beckley , West Virginia . From West Va., Beverly ventured back to her hometown ( Canton, OH ) where she settled in at WQIO Radio as a radio news reporter/copywriter. Beverly 's career started to take off under the guidance of News Director, Bill Younkin. She received accolades for her undercover investigation of convenience store gambling which ultimately led to a major shake-up in the Stark County Sheriff's department.
Beverly moved into television where she worked for the NBC affiliate in North Carolina as a reporter, as well as the ABC affiliate. In March 2006, Beverly left the business and published her first non-fiction book, Whatever! A Baby Boomer's Journey Into Middle Age. Beverly is also a published writer in the Women of Color Devotional Bible and How We Got Over: Testimonies of Faith, Hope & Courage.
Doreen Carter author of The Mis Education of the Christian…..On Money and Giving, is the founder of the Wealth and Wisdom Resource Group. Doreen has gained incredible financial knowledge through her professional experience at Georgia Pacific, Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC), Aluamx Inc, KPMG, LLP, CI Investments, Unity Mortgage, and New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. Doreen has taken the financial strategies learned in the private corporate sector and developed her own private cash management system. In addition, Doreen has developed a series of financial literacy and wealth building courses which are being taught in the School of Personal Finance at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.
Ja-Naé Duane is a Wild Woman. She knows what she wants and she knows how to get it. At age 13, she began her professional opera career and went on to study at Northeastern University and New England Conservatory. In true wild-woman fashion, she created her own opera major with a collaboration of the two institutions. Later, she completed her graduate studies at Carnegie Mellon University where she received her MA in a collaboration program with the Opera Theater of Pittsburgh.
Today, Ja-Naé is a high-energy entrepreneur dedicated to singing, acting, networking and guerilla and buzz marketing. She is the founder and president of The Wild Women Entrepreneurs, a network of success-driven businesswomen who are as wild as she is.
To be a Wild Woman, you must be ambitious, outgoing, confident, and above all, you must be yourself.
